Periodontal

If you suffer from periodontitis, also known as gum disease, you will need some form of periodontal treatment from your dentist. If left untreated, periodontitis can lead to tooth loss or teeth becoming loose. Preventative measures include regular brushing, flossing, and routine check-ups with your dentist. Initial treatments are typically preventative, such as deep cleaning, scaling, root planing, and sometimes antibiotics to prevent gum infection. In more severe cases, surgical treatment may be necessary.
